The only hospital that I will go to is Summa Health - Also known as Akron City Hospital.
I host a group in the Akron area called Akron Doula Circle - it is a doula support group where we get to know and support each other. We are a group of about 20 doulas who go to hospitals all around Northeast Ohio. If you are are birthing at a hospital other than Summa, contact me and I will reach out and get you some referrals of other doulas who go to that hospital.
Yes, I do if your home birth midwife is one I feel comfortable working alongside.
I can set up a few options for family to pitch in to help cover the costs. I accept Venmo, Paypal and Zelle payments from family members to go towards your total. You can also set up a doula donation fund at your baby shower like some do for a diaper fund.
Yes, we can set up payment plans. My normal plan is set up in 2 payments. However, I understand that this investment isn't a small one and am willing to work with you regarding how to make it more affordable.
Every one deserves to have a doula - if it is a cost issue, we will figure out ways to help! There are a few ways that we can make my services more affordable - payment plans, I take HSA payments, offer options for family/friends to chip in as a gift to you. Or I have a wonderful group of doulas who charge differing rates. Please reach out and let me know what you can afford, and I will contact you some options.
